Holly May
Wine Trends Sales Administration
What began as a part time job in high school has turned into an 18-year career for Wine Trends sales administrator Holly May of our Dayton office.
Holly began with Heidelberg Distributing as a co-op student while attending Butler High School in Vandalia, Ohio. “I worked in the wine warehouse, answering phones and not knowing a thing about wine!” says Holly.
She continued to work at the company (and learn more about wine) while attending Sinclair Community College in Dayton. “I started working with Brent Wagener (currently Executive VP & General Manager of Wine Trends) when the fine wine division was called the Lion Group and then moved over when it became Wine Trends,” says Holly. “There is a tremendous amount of camaraderie throughout our entire team. It’s like a family.”
In her current position as the sales administrator, Holly plays a key role in keeping the entire team apprised of any information that helps to move product from the warehouse to retailers. “I’m the support and back-up person for all of the Wine Trends managers,” Holly says. “I track goals, allocations, item maintenance, integrity and vintages about products in our portfolio. I supply them with anything they need to keep going in the right direction.”
When she is not helping to keep the Wine Trends team on track, Holly enjoys music and photography and spending time with her husband and four kids.
