THANK YOU!
MARCH 6 IS EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION DAY

March 6 is National Employee Day. It’s an opportunity for us to say thank you and to celebrate all the great men and women of Heidelberg Distributing. Our company is only as good as the Associates who make up our ranks. Throughout Ohio and Kentucky in each of the nine markets that our 1,600 Associates call home, you help us to be our customers’ #1 choice.

From the sales professionals on the streets and in the accounts to our warehouse and operations crew who fill the orders and load the trucks, to our drivers who get the products safely to our retail partners and all of the departmental support staff (accounting, administration, communications, IT, payroll, pricing, printing and supply chain) who made this past year one of our best, we say thank you!

When this company started in 1938 with one man and one truck, delivering beer from the Heidelberg Brewery in Covington, Kentucky, it was probably beyond the wildest dreams of Albert W. Vontz that his company would survive and thrive over 82 years. One man and one truck has grown to 1,600 Associates, 18,000 different products and more than 26,000 retail accounts. All of our Associates have had a hand in the growth and success of Heidelberg Distributing. Our current group of outstanding Associates are just the most recent group to keep the Heidelberg wheel turning. Every day you carry on a tradition that began in 1938, doing outstanding work and helping us to win for our customers each and every day.

One day is not enough to celebrate our Associates for the job that each of you do all year long. On March 6 we give an extra special and sincere thank you for being the best part of Heidelberg!

Besides festive banners and decorations throughout our facilities, Associates can look forward to a break with food and fun:

Dayton: Associates voted on their favorite caterer for lunch, and Marion’s Pizza won! Also, the Learning Tree Farm, Dayton’s 2020 charity, is bringing dwarf goats to the party for a “Pay to Play” time. Proceeds will benefit the Learning Tree Farm.

Cleveland: Two new water fountains will be “christened” on March 6, with Associates receiving logoed ceramic travel tumblers to fill up at the fountains. Every shift will have its own meal, and POS giveaways will be part of the fun.

Cincinnati: Raffle prizes will be up for grabs during the Appreciation pizza lunch. The pizza caterer was chosen by Associates through a survey.

Youngstown: The night crew will enjoy dinner on March 5, while other departments will have lunch and a cornhole tournament on March 6.

Kentucky: Everyone’s favorite food truck, Texas Joe Tex Mex, is coming in to provide meals for all shifts on Thursday, March 5. A raffle will be held for admin, day and night shifts.

Lorain: Associates will dine on food from a couple of new local restaurants plus sampling a selection of new Seltzer brands.

Toledo: Breakfast will be catered for everyone: 4 a.m. for the night crew and drivers and 7:45 a.m. for all other Associates.

Ohio Valley: The night crew will get dinner on Thursday evening, while the Friday celebration includes pastries and coffee/juice in the morning and pizza delivered at two different times during the day. Plus, plenty of celebration cake!

Columbus: Everyone gets lunch with choices of pizza, boxed lunches or Italian fare. To recognize our accomplishment of reaching one million cases of Constellation beer brands Associates will receive a Heidelberg logoed pullover.
