Congratulations and a big Heidelberg salute to Richard Meyer, Grandpa of Cincinnati Fine Wine Manager Stacey Meyer. He was among 70 U.S. Veterans to take the West Central Florida Honor Flight Mission 40, a trip from St. Petersburg/Clearwater to Washington D.C. on October 22. Richard, who had turned 98 on October 14, was the oldest Vet on board and one of seven who served in World War II. His son (Stacey’s father) Dan flew from Cincinnati to Florida to accompany him on the memorable visit to the WWII Memorial and other sites in Washington. Part of the Mission includes giving each honoree a packet on their way back home which contains personal letters of thanks from family and friends. Stacey had collected 38 letters from team Cincinnati to add to her and her daughter’s letters Grandpa Meyer received a total of 175 letters at Mail Call!
