December 2020 | Doing Good
“Wine for Wildlife” is the Columbus Zoo’s biggest annual charity function. 2020 was the 11th anniversary of the event and since its inception Heidelberg Distributing has been the exclusive supplier and sponsor of the wine auction packages, as well as the event’s tasting portion. This year’s event held on November 14 was a little different, with Heidelberg partnering with the zoo to put on the first ever virtual wine tasting and auction. Heidelberg put together 10 live auction packages to help raise funds. A big thanks to Columbus Executive VP and General Manager Greg Mauer and Wine Merchandiser Justin Moore, who have been involved with this project for many years!
Youngstown provided the wine for the “Wine Dine and Dash” annual charity event to raise money for Angels for Animals, a Youngstown area veterinary hospital, spay/neuter clinic and animal shelter. The event was held on Saturday, November 14.
DISTRICT SALES MANAGER ADAM FARKAS AND ANGELS FOR ANIMALS DIANE LESS TALK WITH TV STATION WFMJ PRIOR TO THE ANNUAL “WINE DINE AND DASH” EVENT.
Shout out to Day Receiver Jess Weisenberger! While on her recent vacation, she donated 14” of her hair to Locks of Love, a nonprofit charity that provides custom-made hair prosthetics to disadvantaged children up to age of 21 who have suffered hair loss as a result of medical conditions, such as alopecia, burn trauma, and cancer.
