→ Congratulations to Andrew Jones who has been promoted to Logistics Lead for the Supply Chain team. Andrew came to Heidelberg in 2016 with a BS in Supply Chain Management from Wright State University. He also has served as an Ohio Army National Guard Master Trainer and U.S. Army Infantryman, where he had experience in inventory management and logistics. His most current position was as a buyer for the beer team and local buyer for Toledo Beer. Working in the Dayton office, Andrew will be learning the ropes from Denise Olden who is working toward a retirement plan.

Xavier Breiding has been promoted to Corporate Sales Operations Manager. He works out of the Dayton facility and reports to VP of Customer Development Jason Shartzer. Xavier, who joined the company two years ago as a Dayton sales administrator, will be creating, managing and tracking surveys for top customers and suppliers, in addition to assisting the Customer Development team to apply strategic data and feedback to achieve sales goals. Congratulations, Xavier!


Buzz From Ohio Valley

→ Congratulations to Josh King who has been promoted to Driver Manager. Josh has over nine years’ experience as a driver.


Buzz From Dayton

→ Dayton’s Employee Spotlight in January honored Associates Jacquelyn Roszman, technical analyst, and Aaron Best, beer sales professional. Congrats!

→ Keith West has joined the Dayton operations team as routing analyst. He started training for the job in early January.


Buzz From Cleveland

ON DECEMBER 20 DISTRICT MANAGERS FROM CLEVELAND AND AKRON/CANTON PREPARED A HOT BREAKFAST FOR DRIVERS AND WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATES TO SHOW THEIR APPRECIATION. THE FEAST INCLUDED BREAKFAST BURRITOS, BACON, SAUSAGE, HASH-BROWNS, EGGS AND SMOOTHIES.


Buzz From Lorain

→ Lorain sales professional Val Thayer and On-Premise Wine Manager Lori West hosted a dinner in December at a restaurant in Port Clinton called 1812 featuring seven Orin Swift wines. With 30 attendees at the six-course meal, the Val and Lori reported $2,300 retail sales at the end of the evening.

LORAIN’S SOUTHERN TEAM GOT TOGETHER FOR SOME HOLIDAY CHEER AT DAN LEW EXCHANGE, WHERE THEY WERE JOINED BY TWO HEIDELBERG RETIREES, BOB MINEAR AND  BOBBY CHILL.


Buzz From Toledo

Buzz From Columbus

→ Team Columbus enjoyed its Celebration 2020 on January 11 with games, music, food and drink as they look forward to another successful year.


Buzz From Cincinnati

→ Heidelberg recently was named among several companies and public institutions to receive funds from Ohio EPA to help replace older, more polluting diesel trucks. The Ohio EPA estimates the grants will reduce more than 70 tons of air pollutants a year in Ohio. Although the dollars only cover 20% of the cost, the company expects to replace a total of seven older diesel-powered trucks with the grant funding.

→ It’s a whole new look for the lower level of the Cincinnati facility, which previously was a wide-open meeting space. Today it’s been transformed into a snazzy training room, conference room and kitchen area along with private offices.

→ It was the Night Before Christmas . . . make that before a REDNECK Christmas! The Admin team gathered on Christmas Eve for a special reading by Dick Fruehwald of this classic “story with a twist.”

→ Associates learned about low-calorie seltzers and sodas when they met at the January 15 Lunch & Learn session. It was led by Lyndsey Longshore of the Bud division and Rob Owens of the wine division. Lunch was catered by Revolution Rotisserie of Over-the-Rhine.
