Doing Good in Our Communities
→ Team Budweiser in Dayton once again partnered with AAA in the ARRIVE SAFE program for the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve holidays, providing free rides to consumers in Montgomery County. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, there were nearly 10,000 traffic crashes in 2019 on Ohio roads, so we are proud to participate in an effort to make our roads safe.
→ Heidelberg Toledo was a sponsor for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night, raising more than $3,000 during the event.
→ Great Lakes Brewing Company led a Toys for Tots event at Vienna Ale House in Youngstown that brought in some 400 toys for Christmas! We have six draught taps still going in the account after what we did for the Toy Drive. Special kudos to Youngstown sales professional Sean Koury for his efforts.
→ Buena Vista Restaurant in Warren, Ohio and Heidelberg Youngstown teamed up to help the Warren Family Mission with a Blanket Drive for the needy. More than 200 blankets were donated during the holiday fund-raising event.
→ The Columbus beer team was busy during the Ohio State football season with its Corona Tailgate parties on Lane Avenue, open to all fans. Five different charities partnered with us and we raised $13,800 for these groups: Columbus Diaper Coalition, Ohio Historic Podcast Educational Assistance, Pink Ribbon Girls, Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio and Crawford Crew. Corona is the official beer sponsor of Ohio State Athletics.
