→ You may be reading this month’s ROAR ON via Heidelberg’s new and refreshed website! The Communications Department received support from the IT Department, several sales managers, corporate directors and our web agency partner Primax Studio of Cincinnati to complete this monumental project.

→ Xavier Breiding, former sales administrator in Dayton, is moving into a new role as Corporate Karma Manager.

→ Joe Bain, a 23-year sales professional, has been promoted to District Manager for the Ohio Valley wine division. Joe and his wife Maria have been married 30 years and have three children.

→ 2020 CELEBRATION! Associates gathered on February 10 for the 2020 Ohio Valley Celebration. They enjoyed a Cincinnati themed buffet complete with Montgomery Inn Barbecue and Skyline Chili. Administrative Manager Marie Koehler and managers from both the wine and beer divisions put together 12 great raffle prizes which included Cincinnati Fun & Food Baskets, Kings Island & Cincinnati Zoo passes, a wine refrigerator, a “movie and game night” basket and more!

→ Katie Dillon has been named the sales administrator in Dayton. She previously was a driver reconciliation clerk.

→ Cleveland’s sales team hosted a trade tasting at Red in Pinecrest on January 23 that they dubbed “a left and right bank presentation of the wines of Bordeaux.” Retailers got to meet the owner of Chateau La Tour de By and a winery principal from Croix de Labrie at the event.

ON JANUARY 25. WITH FIVE AWESOME OFFERINGS. CONSUMERS IN ATTENDANCE WERE IMPRESSED WITH THE
QUALITY AND VALUE OF EACH WINE.

THREE HEINENS STORES (ROCKY RIVER, BRECKSVILLE AND DOWNTOWN) HOSTED A MONDAVI WINE AND CHEESE
TASTING EVENT IN FEBRUARY. THE “HITS” WERE MONDAVI’S MAESTRO AND OAKVILLE FUME.


BUZZ FROM LORAIN

→ Lorain’s 6th Annual Chili Cook-Off was held on January 31 to kick off Super Bowl weekend. And the winner (drum roll please) was Logan Conney, day warehouse Associate. It was a tight race and everyone enjoyed the benefit of the delicious competition!

→ Lorain’s southern sales team reports a very successful night at O’Bryan’s in Ashland and The Old Bag of Nails and Martini’s on Main in Mansfield on January 31. Team members and consumers enjoyed the “Picture Pint” with Guinness!

→ Congratulations to Sara Blakey who was promoted to Berman Wine District Manager in February. Sara was previously a Berman Wine on-premise sales professional and has been with the company for five years.

→ Toledo held a warehouse appreciation gathering on January 24 with everyone enjoying some delicious food from Tony Packo’s.
