NEW HEIDELBERG WEBSITE LAUNCHING SOON, WITH A FRESH NEW LOOK
Through hard work and collaboration, the Heidelberg website will be launching soon with a fresh look! It has taken just over a year of methodical planning, layouts, content strategy, revisions and interdepartmental support to complete the new website.
The Communications Department worked diligently as a team to deliver a website that serves all of our users: Associates, retailers, suppliers and customers. This undertaking was led by Corporate Project Manager and Webmaster Kelly Fine, along with Director of Corporate Communications Mike Vander Woude, Lion’s Edge Cincinnati Corporate Print Shop Manager Dennis Cook, Video Production Specialist Seth Holston and Chief of Staff Kathryn Oakes. The Communications Department received support from the IT Department, many sales managers, corporate directors and our web agency partner Primax Studio, based in Cincinnati.

Primax has a rich company history of building websites that are user-friendly and visually reflect the look, tone and feel of a company’s brand. Their team of designers, strategists, copywriters, developers, programmers and SEO specialists worked seamlessly to refine our brand voice for this new web presence. They were instrumental in the transition from our former website and will continue to offer support into the future.
“One of the goals of the website update was to produce an experience with the user in mind: easy to navigate, intuitive and optimized for all electronic devices,” says Kelly. “We’re happy that the website has a clean, seek design to breathe new life into our Heidelberg brand!”
Associates are at the forefront of some important milestone changes rolling out of the Communications and IT Departments. IT will be rolling out a new piece of software later this month called OKTA Single Sign-On. Associates will log into their OKTA Dashboard with their full email address as the username and then enter their email password (after your first login you will be required to change your OKTA password). The Heidelberg website and other software programs used throughout the Heidelberg system will be accessible from the dashboard. IT will be notifying Associates about this exciting new software as the month progresses. Click here to view some FAQs about OKTA.
The website offers new content to add value to our audience’s browsing experience. The Products page offers new tools and resources. Products featured in our monthly Product Knowledge email series are highlighted here. On the Education page, VP of Fine Wine Sales & Education Mary Horn; Director of Craft Beer Chris Emmons; Director of Spirits Pat Keith; Director of On-Premise Matt Smith; and Kentucky General Sales Manager Joshua Mulberry contributed educational resources and content for Beer, Wine and Spirits. These pages were designed to help Associates, retailers and consumers gain insight and learn “on the fly.” We also increased the visibility of our proprietary video collections! Product, supplier and educational videos are more accessible than ever from the Products and Education pages.
The monthly digital Roar On newsletter is accessible from the footer of the website so that it is always just one click away! We are now able to archive our issues of the Roar On; our current archive dates back to June 2019. You can access the Roar On and other helpful tools for Associates from the Team Portal, which is in the top right corner of the navigational menu.
The Team Portal is a full-service dashboard for Associates to find useful information and links. Content is organized into three categories: Reference, Request and Resources so that you can be guided to the information you’re looking for. You also can access information about benefits, wellness and exciting dates for Heidelberg Celebrations and Holiday shows.
Another big initiative rolled out by the Communications Department is new print ordering software, implemented by a company called Page DNA. This new ordering process will go live along with the website. The “Print Request Order Form” will be a visually compelling e-store that guides Associates through a customizable process for sales, admin and operations team members to fulfill print requests. This will be a large step forward for bill-backs and reports that can be sent to suppliers to recoup design costs. This project is led by Dennis Cook, with the help and support of Lion’s Edge print shop Associates Nicole Donahue and Kael Vanderkolk, and Dayton Admin Manager Tyler McKinley. Associates will be able to access the Lion’s Edge Print Request Form link from the Team Portal and the OKTA Dashboard.
Associate feedback was crucial in the development of our new website. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences with us, so we could create a digital presence to best serve all Heidelberg Associates! Life Roars Through Us!
