THIS GIANT EAGLE STORE HAS SOLD THE MOST CASES OF WHITE CLAW TO DATE; AS OF 9/3 THE STORE HAD SOLD 6,400 CASES! Buzz From Cincinnati

→ Cincinnati’s beer division hosted its second Bud Light Dive Bar Tour featuring Kip Moore on August 17. The event was a sold out private concert for 250 people held at Mr. Pitiful’s in Over the Rhine. Brands Featured: Bud Light, Bud Light Lime, Bud Light Orange and the new seasonal Bud Light Lemon Tea.

→ Heidelberg, Michelob Ultra and the Cincinnati Reds partnered to put on our first Michelob Ultra MOVEMENT event, bringing together the area’s top fitness and wellness experts at Great American Ball Park. Some 260 fans worked out in classes such as Bar, Yoga and Hit – and enjoyed beer along the way!

What the F*t? podcast and Cincy State of Being helped MC the event along with former Bachelorette superstar Peter Kraus.

Michelob Ultra, Michelob Ultra Pure Gold and Michelob Ultra Pear Lime Infusion were featured, along with HI Ball for some great sampling opportunities!

Michelob Utlra MOVEMENT was promoted on social, radio, TV and through the Reds marketing channels. We could not have had such a successful event without our partners from the Reds!

→ A scrawny and hungry kitty who was spotted trying to find food in front of the Cincinnati office was saved by several Cincinnati Associates, including receptionist Wendy Harris, dock sales Associate Barb Lawson, Pricing Director Tom McNally.  Dubbed “Heidi,” the kitty became friendly and eventually was taken to Tom’s home where he and his wife Melissa often rescue stray cats. Their veterinarian determined that Heidi was healthy and probably less than one year old. She found a “forever home” after a couple of weeks at the Ohio Alleycat Rescue shelter. Heidi says thank you!

→ July sales professionals of the month were Dustin Irwin, Heidelberg Beer; Eric Buettner, Heidelberg Wine; and Brad Laux, Berman Wine.

→ August sales professionals of the month were Tim Krell, Heidelberg Beer: Eric Buettner, Heidelberg Wine; and Mike Grant, Berman Wine.

→ Congratulations to Heidelberg sales professional Eric Terwilliger who was promoted to Heidelberg Wine On-Premise Fine Wine Manager on September 1.

Buzz From Columbus

→ District Manager Josh Reed gives a big shout-out and thank you to administrative assistant Brenda Huhn, who alerted him about a new account called Fortress Obetz. She gave him all the information about contacting them, their location and what types of products they were seeking. Josh immediately stopped in to get their initial order which Brenda also helped him with because the account wasn’t in our system yet. Josh later met with the account about the Labor Day weekend Zucchini Festival. “We captured the event with all the product signage, and besides other items they ordered 300 cases of White Claw!” says Josh. Essentia also was the official water of the Festival.

“All this would not have happened without Brenda being proactive and also getting them set up so quickly and efficiently. So thank you Brenda! This is just one of many examples of how much our administrative team does and how much we appreciate them. We need to shout out how our different departments work together using our Core Values of Communication, Knowledge and Teamwork!”

BOTH THE WINE AND BEER SALES TEAMS RECENTLY TRAVELED TO CINCINNATI FOR AN EDUATIONAL TOUR OF THE CINCY BEER CAVES AS A THANK YOU FOR THEIR GREAT YEAR-TO-DATE EFFORTS. THE GROUP OF 66 CAPPED OFF THE DAY AT TAFT’S ALE HOUSE, A HISTORIC SPOT IN OVER-THE-RHINE. THANKS WINE GSM MIKE ROSS AND BEER GSM DAN DIEM FOR COORDINATING THE TRIP!

→ August 19-22 was Rhinegeist Blitz Week in Louisville, where team Kentucky pushed its distribution goal near the 90% mark. Thanks to everyone who worked hard for Rhinegeist!
